I’m running for City Council because I want LA to work for every family in every neighborhood.
Los Angeles made a better life possible for my parents when they moved here from Mexico and Texas in the 1950s.
Growing up in Los Feliz and Sherman Oaks, I played in our local parks and studied in our public libraries.
With the support of our community, I was able to graduate from Georgetown University, become an attorney, serve in the administrations of the Mayor of Los Angeles and two Democratic governors, and cover national politics for ABC News.
I’ve seen both the difference public policy can make in individual lives and the way it can be warped by powerful interests. For 15 years, I have worked to connect everyday citizens with our government.
As your City Councilmember, I will work with you to:
Most importantly, I will always be accessible and listen to your concerns.
Together, we will build a Los Angeles that works for everyone.
All the best,
